January 5-7

• Wednesday: We handed out the new Design syllabus. (The syllabus has been uploaded to the blog.) We set up our folder for this semester. The example is in my room.
• Thursday: We watched a video called "What is Design?". We discussed the difference between DENSE and SPARSE patterning. We are working on making 12 zentangled patterns - 6 dense and 6 sparse. Homework was assigned.
• Friday: Went over the steps to zentangling and worked on creating 12 carefully crafted zentangle patterns.

Homework for this week:

1. Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement Form is due signed by Monday, January 10
2. 5 photo images of design in your life. They can be from a magazine or downloaded from the Internet. Due Monday, January 10
3. If it snows and we are not at school on Monday, then the assignments are due on Tuesday, January 11.
