September 30 - October 1

• Monday: Elements & Principles Quiz. Principles of Design VVJournal page due. Five modified contour drawings of plants.
• Tuesday: abstraction power point. Begin abstracting your drawing for the final studio project.
• Wednesday - Thursday: begin painting their Studio Project.
• Friday: Work on the front cover of your journals.

September 20-25

• Monday - Work on Color Wheel.
• Tuesday - Complete Color Wheel. If there is extra time, you can work on your Principles of Desgin journal page. 
• Wednesday -  Begin the Color Schemes worksheet.
• Thursday - Complete the color Schemes worksheet. If there is extra time, you can work on your Principles of Desgin journal page. 
• Friday - Modified Contours of plants in class. Principles of Design Journal Entry is due!

Extra Credit --- Bring in a potted plant or flower. The first eight plants get extra credit, when they are taken home.

ANY JOURNAL ASSIGNMENT NOT COMPLETED IN CLASS IS CONSIDERED HOMEWORK.

September 13 - 17

• Monday - Journal day - you can work either your Elements of Art Journal. 
•  Tuesday - Introduce the Principles of Design and take notes on the power point. Elements of Art journal page is due!
• Wednesday -  Begin the Principles of Design page.
• Thursday - Work on the Principles of Design Journal Page.
• Friday - Introduce Color and make a notes page. Work on Principles page.

• Tuesday: Introduce Drawing Techniques and make a notes page on drawing techniques. Learn how to do blind contour and do timed drawings.
• Wednesday : Learn how to do modified contour drawings. If there is time, we will work on the Elements of Art Journal Page.
• Thursday: Watch Transformation Video. Blind contouring.
• Friday: Work on eye-to-hand coordination and complete the Stravinsky drawing.

Elements of Art Journal Page will be due on Tuesday, September 14th at the beginning of class.
